The Growing Connection, www.thegrowingconnection.org, is a global network that builds water-efficient vegetable gardens as a "do-it-yourself" solution to hunger, malnutrition and poverty. Through TGC, young people learn about sustainable food production, nutrition, and entrepreneurship. The Jewish Scholar Marmonides had a great idea; teach the hungry to fish rather than just feed them. I hope we'll do more to help people gain access to good soil, clean water, and the tools they need to learn to grow their own fresh foods. Your book, Stuffed and Starved is the best way to bring attention to our problems surrounding hunger. Bless you for writing it.
